Wacky Hair Day

The preschool where I work is having a wacky hair day on Thur. I need some ideas. :confused:

I was thinking of parting my hair ear to ear and doing two bee butt buns with the top half (kind of like horns), but I don't know what to do with the bottom half. I could always simply bun or braid the rest, but that doesn't seem. . .wacky enough. :pinktongue:

It has to be a style that will be comfortable all day and be able to survive bending over and such.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated! :)

How about a pony tail mohawk? I don't know what they're really called. Put your hair in lots of ponytails all down the center with the ends loose.

You can braid wire or pipe cleaners into two braids with the bottom half, and twist them around. :) That would look pretty crazy, especially combined with the bee butts.

I say make bunny ears ponytail lots of gel and then make a tail ( bun on the back)

Pipecleaners or wire clothes-hangers braided into hair can make all kinds of shapes. Kitty-cat ears. Hair-bow on top of head. Pippi Longstocking pigtails.

A supe from an old job -- and my original inspiration to grow out my hair (she's Classic of gorgeous, 2b iii hair which IS highlighted once a year.)-- came in with a huge mohawk. She tied and braided some of the strands but she said she used a really duty hold hair spray and then vaccumed her hair as it dried. Yes, she sucked sections of it into the long extended tube... and then sprayed it in funky colors.

She's of the school of thought that extreme lengths are quite nice but there's no point in growing out your hair if you can't enjoy it. Hairspraying and vaccuming one's hair once a year won't destroy it.

PS: she's got some very healthy hair. I know she takes off like six inches once a year when she goes back home to Minnesota for visits. She only trusts her sister to go at it. :D
