Is Parabens the same as Silicones?

I bought a conditioner that I aimed for to be silicone-free but on the bottle it only says ''Parabens, Sulfates & Colourants free''

Does that mean it's free from silicones also? I couldn't really understand the content lable.

I believe parabens are a preservative, to prevent fungal and bacterial growth in cosmetics.

If I'm not mistaken parabens are preservatives used in products. The reason why people don't like them is because they are believed to be carcinogenic.

Parabens are preservatives, so no, it does not mean it does not contain cones.
