Hi all! I am trying to dye a human hair clip in fringe a little lighter. The thing is I used 30 vol peroxide and nothing. I know it is human hair because I burned a strand - definately smells like burnt hair. I would not say it is THAT thick. Definitaley very resiliant though. Will 40 vol make a difference?? And lucky person who had this peace of that resiliant hair. I definately never had this "problem" with my own hair. Thank you people.

I don't think I have very good advice for something like this... other than are you positive it is human hair and not some kind of very realistic synthetic? Possibly even animal hair? How dark is it? I'd think even with black hair the 30 vol would give it an orange tint.

Try adding a bit of heat as well, if you dye your own hair you get heat from your head. Put it on a windowsil/near a radiator.
