Its been awhile since I updated my blog with pics so I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather today to take a few new length pics. Then I decided to go ahead and post them here as well (since I love looking at other people's pics I thought I should share mine as well...;)).

I'm cutting and pasting this next part from my blog...
I've been doing fairly regular catnip rinses (once to twice a week). I am still doing a C-dilute W-C wash with various shampoos and conditioners and am pretty much always doing a dilute ACV rinse afterwards.

The one thing I've added is MINERAL OIL. I *LOVE* it!! I have come sooooooo close to cutting. The ends of my hair have felt so dry and "frizzy" until I discovered the mineral oil. I just apply a few drops (1-2) to the lower 1/3 of my hair when damp and leave it to air dry. My hair has never been softer or silkier....even when I was using coney serums. I use plain old store brand baby oil and love the smell. I also apply it all over my damp skin after I shower and pat dry. It has helped my dry itchy skin soooo much as well. My skin is now so soft and "dewy".

And here are my three pics from today (measuring 34.5 inches)

Your hair is so beautiful! I've tried to get my hair to wave like that...no such luck. :(

I'm new to the Mineral Oil and I love it too. 2 - 3 drops is all I use on damp hair also. I can't believe I put baby oil on my hair now. It seemed so weird at first because I always tried to avoid getting any on my hair when I would put it on my body. Oh how LHC has changed my views on many things...

Thank you for taking the time to post pics. I can't wait until I can!

Your hair definetely looks happier with mineral oil. Your hair shine.
Your hair grows fast, I think when I look your pictures.
Very nice!

The progress is lovely!

Oh well, I don't have time to compliment your hair more (even though the waves look great and the slight frizziness from 2010 is completely gone and, and, and.... :D) - right now, I need to go and buy some baby oil... :run:

Thanks so much for the compliments:) It really feels like it is growing slowly until I take the time to take proper photos and compare them back over time...then I realize it actually had been growing..lol:cool: I still have layers in the ends that at some point I plan to trim out. I think they make the ends thin and when I finally get the nerve I'll pause in the growing and trim then gradually to one length again.

As far as the baby oil...I have to admit that I was very hesitant. I was NOT having very good luck with coconut oil despite all the great things I was hearing on here. I thought I was doing something wrong. I tried it on dry hair, wet hair, damp hair, light oil, heavy oil, washed out, etc, etc and no matter what it made my hair feel "greasy" or dry and crunchy. Finally I stumbled upon a post about how some people's hair just doesn't tolerate coconut oil very well so I threw in the towel and gave up. I actually went back to my coney CHI serum (which I still use from time to time). Then I found the posts on baby oil and decided it wouldn't hurt to try it...and the rest is history;)

Shiny. I think there should be more wind shots, although the detangling could be a PITA.

I'm still in the experimental phase as regards coconut - so far I think my curls like it better than olive oil but I'll give the baby stuff a go as well during the week. I figure it can't harm in a way that can't be rewoked by a CO-wash

Beautiful. Your hair looks so silky. This is the incentive I needed to finally try mineral oil. I've been so scared of it, but I'm going to pick up a small bottle this afternoon.

Your hair is gorgeous!

I can definitely see less frizz compared to one of the early ones.

Mineral oil is "shocking" to many people because it has been until now, the "unsung hero" of hair care. It just needed to be separated out from the products that contained it, that had things in them that can be problematic for hair, like petrotatum (greasy and waxy) and lanolin (sticky, greasy, and it is a wax) and in some cases drying oils, which polymerize.

Used on its own, it can be fantastic.
