Good morning everyone. :3

I need to wear my hair "up" more often. I love having it down and that's how I usually wear it, no problem. But it's been quite windy here lately, and it always blows my hair around and gets it all tangled, and we all know that's not good.

I really don't like updo's, so I was wondering if any of you brilliant folks knew of some styles that keep my hair contained, but still show off how long it is, that I could wear on windy days. Like cool braids and stuff, maybe?

Banded pony? Doesn't lose any length and I used to do it with rainbow hairbands. :D

This spiral pony is quite cool, but obviously it isn't as good in protecting hair as updos are, but then again, what is?

I also just found this braided over ponytail tutorial and can't wait to try it on myself

Also the multi mini braid braid. A pic is in my album.

Torrin Paige's rope braid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImcPuruQMAw

It's looser than an ordinary braid, but it can make a nice change if that's what you usually wear.

Perhaps you can try lattice styling http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=89562&highlight=Lattice+hair. It won't eat up your length and I remember seeing a member's avatar where she dressed as a fairy and used colorful mini claw clips. I thought it looked really pretty but I don't remember who it was

ETA: that member didn't 'lattice' all her hair. Just a few strands off the canopy and I thought it looked much better than the picture linked in that thread

Side swept fishtail works.

A caterpillar pony looks cool. I use little scrunchies every few inches down the length. It's really cool looking if you use different colors.

It's so much easier for me since I'm not good at braiding.

Low pony tail works well.
