Medium or Coarse hair??? How do I know??

Well I've always had hair on the thicker side. I've been iii before my kids but lost a lot of hair postpartum. Now I'm slowly getting it back. Currently my ponytail is 3.8".

I always thought I had Medium hair texture. But now I'm begining to think it's more coarse:confused:. I can definitly hear my hair when I roll it.. and when I do S&D some strands sound like I'm cutting through fabric (it's hard to explain).

I still have some fine hairs too.. but it's not even every fourth or fifth hair! Do I still call my self M because of the those hairs or am I more a C.. Maybe M/C??? :hmm:

I have the same problem. I first thought my hair was M, but because of my heritage and after some testing, I became doubtful. So, I compared my hair to someone who was definitely C. It turned out mine is rather C, with a couple of M. Tricky because M is in the middle, neither F nor C, from what I understand. It seems like there are some people with C hair that are much courser than I have ever seen. Am I wrong, I wonder.

My hairdresser said I had fine hair. However I can hear my hair when I roll a strand and each strand feel fairly thick. Also I can cut soft cheese by holding a shed hair between my fingers so it become tunt.

I'm definitely in between medium and coarse... Or maybe I could be in denial and it is indeed just coarse...

I have at least 3 different thicknesses on my head and I can't hear any of them when I roll my hair. I only put down F/M because I figure with so many different thicknesses some of them have to be fine. I might have some coarse hairs but I have no way of knowing.

Wow this is hard :)

I also have 3 different types of hair on my head.. but mostly they are thick.
