My natural hair is black. Will black tea cover grey hair, or will coffee cover it? If so, how long does it stay on your hair for? If those things do not cover, does anyone else have some suggestions?

Never tried them myself, but catnip tea and sage tea rinses are 2 things I've read here.

Oh, I love the idea of using red tones in my hair from rhubarb. I hesitate to waste my precious stash of rhubarb, though.

I haven't tried it, but my guess would be no, tea will not cover your grey hair. For that you would need indigo or henna, and even sometimes repeated applications. Just from the little research I have done I would not think that tea would cover your grey. And also, as soon as you shampoo the herbs will be washed out leaving your grey's grey. Tea doesn't go into the hair shaft. If I am wrong then someone will correct me.:)
