So, I would like to trim my hair a teeny bit, to freshen up my hemline so to speak. But, I've never trimmed my own hair before. :o My last trim happened in a salon, about a year and half ago and I would really prefer to do it myself to aviod potential hair catastrophe.
I do have a pretty nice pair of hair trimming scissors that I've been using to snip the random fairy knot.
So I guess the questions I have are:
*For Feye's self-trim method, does anyone get their SO to trim the hair when it's pulled back behind you? I would like the DH to do this, since I know I would muck it all up if I tried to bring the tail up and over my shoulder.
*What is considered micro-trimming? Can you micro-trim using Feye's method, or is it something entirely separate?
*How do you know if your trimming scissors are sharp enough to prevent damage? Like I mentioned before, I've only ever used mine to snip fairy knots.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings. I'm just kinda nervous to take shears to the hair, since I've never done it before. But I think it would be nice to clean up my hemline. :)
