So I have been afraid to try and do a french braid. It seemed so difficult (it kinda is) but I finally did it and this is the result! It is kind of messy and sloppy but definitely a step into learning how to do a perfect one. :) If you all remember, a while ago I bleached my ends in an attempt to do the whole ombre thing and I ended up going back to black and having to cut about an inch or more off. Well...im almost back to waist! Wooo hoooo! So happy! :) Thanks for the support!

Very nice! That is a really neat, pretty French braid for a first attempt!
I still cannot do one. I think one day, I might have the patience to sit down and practice, but I am just so impatient when it comes to braiding, lol.

PS- I love your overalls. :D

Isn't it empowering to actually be able to *do* something? Sure, might be a little sloppy at first, but you are on your way to being proficient! Go you!

Hey, that's a great first attempt! Much better than my first one(s) were!

If you want some advice on keeping the sides smooth, try using a comb to pick up your side hair as you add it. It helps me, anyway, ymmv. Good job!

I did not appreciate how hard it is to do a french braid on straight hair until I tried it myself. The hair is SLIPPERY and making any type of form is very difficult.

So major kudos if that is your first attempt. Practice will make perfect and it'll be wonderful!

Great job! From what I see, I actually think you did a Dutch braid instead of a French braid. For a first try that's excellent! Not only that, with practice it gets even better. :D
