This is something I've come up with to bun my hair in a hurry. Does it have an official name?

Gather all hair in a ponytail and hold it between your thumb and forefinger, like you're making the okay sign. (http://www.dotolearn.com/picturecards/images/imageschedule/okay_l.gif)
Pick up the tail and wind it round and round the base where you're holding the hair. No twisting needed.
Brandish your hairstick and use it to secure the hair. Slide it in where your index finger is, then grab a bit of scalp hair, then out where your thumb is.I'll post a picture of this in a minute once I find my camera, but does this sound like a 'known' style to you?

It sounds simple enough, so it probably is a known style! LOL But what on earth do I know? My updos seem to always be limited to the same one! But then I've never had long enough hair to do much either!

I do that often, but I don't think there are instructions to it yet nor a name..
Does it look like this?

It sounds like a nice simple style. Does it stay in well?

I am new so I don't know any bun names yet, :( but it sounds like something quick I could do for work.

Savi... Your bun is so sophisticated looking, hard to believe it is so simple.

Thanks for sharing!:)

Yes, that's exactly it!

Janaana: yes, it stays incredibly well, even with my chronic layering.

Vainjane Thanks :D
Periwinkle I had been wondering if anyone else knew how to make it. I call it lazy wrap, since the wrap bun name is taken. I tried adding instruction of it to the articles section, I wonder if that worked.. I make it a bit differently than you do. I think. Want to add a second version? :D

This is very similar to the Inside-Out bun.

It's known as the non-twisted bun, posted... oh, in 2005 or so? by onceagain.

I use this style a bunch. Easy, comfortable, and very quick to do!
