I just felt like I had to share with you all my beebutt bun curls, which I am wearing now and really enjoying. I took pictures throughout the whole process.
This is my hair in the beebutt buns. I sectioned my hair, dampened it with water from a mister bottle, put a dab of aloe vera gel on each section, then twisted and rolled into a bun. I secured with a hairtie. I slept on the buns. It was a little uncomfortable but not bad.

For reference, this is how my hair usually looks, air-dried, and combed a lot while drying to smooth out my natural waves.

Back and front views of the curls when I took them out of the buns. They were tight and a bit frizzy.

Then I mixed up a small amount of SMT (2 parts conditioner, one part honey, one part aloe). I gently fingercombed the hair, then coated each section with a thin layer of the SMT to smooth out and weigh down the curls. When it dried it looked like this:

The curls have held up really well so far, even though we are having a windy day here. The SMT holds them well without making them too crunchy or sticky.
My hair color looks different in each photograph because of the lighting. It's hard to get an accurate photo of my hair color, which could be considered a dark blonde or light brown, and sometimes has hints of red in certain lighting.
