One year anniversary pics!

Its been a year since I stopped lurking and finaly joined just after my first henna. Thanks soooo much! I must point out though, my hair never looks that good without the braidwaves.....I think it helps with the shine and body because when its left to its own devices it goes nuts:shocked:

Wow your hair grows SO fast! My hair seems a similar type/texture. Are you willing to share your routine with a newbie?? ;)

Of course! I was C/O for a few months, until the condition improved (Ive got some old highlights in the ends....) Now I shampoo about once a week and use a cheapo cone free conditioner. The day before wash day I oil the scalp with a mix of castor and mustard oils and leave it on, and I henna every four weeks :) I oil the lengths most days with a teeny bit of coconut oil and I spritz on a bit of rooibos tea if I need to stretch the washes. I think thats it! Im a bit obsessive so I try to keep it in a bun so I stop hassling the poor stuff :O Its amazing the stuff you learn here, and how much it differs from what you read/hear elsewhere!

Sadly, not natural curls :( They are the result of two dutch braids, so Im pretty sure you can have them ;)

Hehe maybe when my hair is 10 inches longer or so :P I do wear dutch braids often (like in my siggy) but they gave me no curls at all, sadly! (I think it's still too short for that)
