I'm finally getting into Steampunk, my outfit is almost done (the skirt and corset at least.) I have a small even I'm going to this month, but I need a hairstyle, any ideas?

Honestly I think it's all about the accessories. Any simple updo will do as long as you have some nice pins or stick/fork. That's just my two cents though.

I don't know anything about styles but etsy has tons of steampunk hair accesories and hats, I've always thought that Antickquities' hair picks were crazy cool: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Antickquities

wow, those are pretty darn cool looking. and affordable :) now to debate if I actually want to spend the money lol (ya, I'm pretty frugal (is that the right word?))

Since steampunk is heavily based on Victorian style, I suggest you start looking there.

In case you haven't already seen it, there might be some inspiration here (http://www.squidoo.com/steampunk-hair-styles).

Also, poking around here (http://www.thesteampunkempire.com/forum/topics/hair-styles-of-the-steampunk), I saw snoods mentioned as a possibility.

what a fun article.
what I love about steampunk is that you can really do anything as long as you style it.
You can do victory rolls, a bun, a french twist.... just about anything.

Torrin's youtube channel has some good victorian looking styles if you want to go that route. But steampunk is definitely all about the accessories! Don't want to spend money on 'em? Make your own.
