I had to go out in a monster rain storm this morning. My hair was soaked in under a minute.
Considering how my hair looked when it dried, I can safely say this myth is

BUSTED!

Although, the fact that I tripped and fell head first into a large puddle probably didn't help things... :p

Ohhhh, sorry to hear that and yes, even without the puddle soaking, rainwater can be polluted.

I would agree with the pollution. I live in town and I couldn't do it.

Especially in the cities= acid rain.

My house runs off of rain water mostly. We live out in the country so there isn't too much pollution. It's been this way for about 3 years and my hair has definitely improved... I noticed the change a couple months after moving in. :)

We are thinking about getting the showerhead water filter. It's a water filter that only filters water as it goes through the shower and I guess it takes out the chlorine and other minerals so that it doesn't get on your hair and skin. Does anyone have one of these installed on their showers?

There have been a few discussions about it. It depends on the rainwater and possible testing and treatment.

I live in the city with the choice or hard water, bottled water, or rainwater. I wash my hair in rainwater. I collect it from the downspout only after heavy rain has cleaned the air and rooftop of pollution. My hair is vastly improved from this practice.
