Howdy do everyone!

So I have more hairsticks than what is decent :D and love learning new styles to do with them. I just wondered if you guys might know any that I don't. I've watched Torrin and LaDollyVita and Arrows tutorials and several others, but im always looking for more. My hair is BSL, average thickness. Thanks!

Ya I want to do that one but I'm afraid that my hair might be too short. I don't wanna get all the way into it and have it be so.

I can just about do that one if i braid to the very ends and my hair is mid back, i agree its very pretty though. If you watched my tutorials did you try the pencil bun some people can do that at BSL.

One of my favorite styles was Corteses Gibraltar bun - I'm sure you can find it in the archieved forums. Holds pretty good and looks neat.

Thanks for posting this thread. I will be following it because I've been wanting some hair stick ideas as well. Especially the ones that can work on shorter lengths, (apl - bsl ish). So far I've just been wearing a French roll held up with a hair stick but I want to try something new.

Found this YT tutorial by a lady who sells hair sticks, (they're sooo pretty). All her models have shorter/medium hair and her instructions are clear and easy to follow:

Gibraltar bun instructions. (http://www.prismnet.com/%7Ecortese/hair/styling.html#gibraltar)

I've just lately gotten into the pinless braided bun (http://www.prismnet.com/%7Ecortese/hair/styling.html#pinless), which I can just barely do if I start with Dianyla's technique (http://archive.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=23652), and <koff> supplement with two spin pins so it won't fall apart on me. A nice use for some of my shortie hairsticks, since not much of the stick is hidden.

You're welcome :) I was finally able to get a good secure hold with her instructions and I'm glad they were helpful to you as well.

Oh my gosh. Tiny hairsticks! My honeybee and I watched this and loved it. I didn't even know they made hairsticks in her size and now she wants some. Super cute.

Where do you all like to buy your hair sticks? The beauty supply stores near me only carry one or two styles of sticks, and I don't like either.

Are there any brands/stores/websites you prefer?
