I have decided to open up a new thread as a follow up to this one - http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=75458.
For those who have followed the thread, six months ago, being so impressed by the fact that she was mentioned in our forum, Cezara-Lucia Vlădescu made the promise to write a song dedicated to the hair.
So, there it is, The Hair Song. Dedicated to all the ladies of the LHC Community.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ScsltPSHRI&feature=youtu.be

For those interested, you can see great pics of her ( and her hair, of course ) on her facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cezara-Lucia-Vl%C4%83descu/134977236593002, or myspace http://www.myspace.com/cezaraluciavladescu.
I will keep posted on this thread for news.
Here are some pics of her hairstyle.
Hope you enjoy the music !

for some reason, I cannot add photos to this thread. You can view those in my album.

Oh my god, what an amazing musician! I don't have the words. That was so fabulous. I love that she's young and female and flamboyant, too. Proof that you don't have to follow in dead white male footsteps to own classical music.

I'm sorry if the above comes across as offensive. I can't think of a better way to put it. Basically, she's showing that it's possible to succeed without giving up one iota of her identity.

You are wright. And if there is one thing I have learned from her, besides of dying the hair orange, or pink, is believe in what you do, and really focusing on that. nothing else.

We may have to petition the Admins to make that our official theme song.

What a great idea ! I will write Cezara a message of she would agree and I'll get back. I don't know if there is any interference with legal rights, etc. Maybe in the meantime the admins could take a look at this proposition.

She has IM`d me back and she will be glad to do so, if the admins want to make this something like a official theme song. moreover, she wrote me that she can ask the person who is uploading her videos, once this is set up, to include the link in the description of the video, Like this it would be a nice publicity also for the forum. If the admins want to do so, i would be glad to forward the link to her and have it set it up.

Wow what a song, the emotion was intense, and I think I got what she was trying to emote.

Also, I would do just about anything for her to come in here and give a tutorial for that hairstyle!!! I would rock it once I get my Pravana Vivids coloured locks complete!

Hello Calaelen,
In case that you posted the comment in YouTube, this is a message for you from Cezara. The best and at this moment fastes way to write her is over her Facebook Page.

"Dear LuthienC,

sure, I can give you a tutorial. I`ll try my best.
For the Over The Rainbow style - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P60aDD5Cbaw&feature=related, the night before the concert I have done several braids, sprayed water and let them like that until the next afternoon. Than I have backcombed most of the hair ( but not everything, I did not wanted to have the "damaged" look I usually use, it still had to have something that looks wavy and not backcombed ) , than, using lots of hair pins, I have gathered together the hair and covered everything with that swarovski headband. I don`t even know if it is actually a headband, I think it was something like a belt for dresses, that I have bought. Quite long, though. It has a few meters. I started from the head line in circles , everytime smaller, until I got to the top of the end, which I have secured with a large hairpin which had a crystal clear stone. I don`t think you can see that from the side of the recording.

For the style from the recording of The Hair Song- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ScsltPSHRI&feature=youtu.be, that`s a bit more complicated. Basically I always make different braids the night before the concert. I try to avoid using hairspray, or similar products, unless absolutely necessary. For this kind of style I needed the hair to be frizzy and "dry", so that it stays better in the form. I used melted coconutoil, honey and aloe vera on damp hair before making the braids. I intentionally used a stronger combination than what I use when I condition. I must say, I usually don`t follow the same steps, I like to discover new styles, which are holding my hair up, to not get into my face when I play.
For this style I have made 2 sock buns, one in the upper right side of the head, one, a bit smaller, on the left side, next to the year. The remaining hair I have braided in several strands ( several braids, I mean ), using a larger little faux pearl necklace . I have wrapped the bun with the braids.I have used 3 braids and one, i don`t know the name, the 2 strand braid, to cover remaining parts. The 2 strand braid started from the top of the head going to the right side of the head. I have patched some clear stone on the braid, expanded a bit the two sock buns, and that was it.
The basic for this are the two sock buns. The rest is just playing around with the hair and whatever kind of necklace you have at home. I think there is a pic on my facebook page showing the hair from behind. You get a closer look at the braids.

For this one here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2snOfblg4t8, I did approx. the same as above, but with only one sock bun in the middle of the upper head side, and left about 3/4 of the remaining hair on the outside, than wrapped like you would make yourself a headband out of your hair, the hair line and left everything else loose. This one is easier as the second one. For that I added lots of stones, and pins, as your can see..
Hope you have fun..Oh. Take a break between. It took me about 1 1/2 hours to to this and it can get painful in the hands if you don`t take little breaks. "

Thank you jaquelines for bringing her here to us, and for forwarding this message from her to me. I can't wait to have my wacky hair colours and do these styles, and incorporating some of my antique combs and jewellery?? Oh what fun I'm going to have.

P.S. I am addicted to her style and her music. just WOW!
