Hello everyone,

I'm looking for U-shaped hemline pictures.
Whether they're of your own hair, spotted somewhere on the net, from movies, models, etc. everything is welcome!

- Some elaboration on why I want this:
I have been maintaining a blunt hemline for as long as I'm actively growing out my hair. It's nearing hip now and I've found that it's natural growth pattern leans towards the U rather than the straight across hemline I've been keeping. This means that I have to often cut off more than just damaged ends to maintain the hemline, which makes my growth progress rather slow.

I'm contemplating maintaining a U-shaped hemline from now on, but I want to keep the look of thick hair. As my hair gets longer (and more at one length) I'm also losing my natural wave pattern. I now have mostly straight hair (not pin straight, but straight). Having an thick hemline is a must, for me.

Can anyone help me out with pictures so I can make a decision? My internet search has been rather fruitless.

Thank you for your time!

my siggy :) I have long layers as well, so the U is not a blunt U, if you know what I mean.

I have some in my albums. I think it starts at October when I got it done in a U.... But as you get closer to the present date (I think the last picture is from December), you can see that my hemline is starting to grow in for a more straight blunt look. Guess my hair just wants to be straight across!

I cut my hair in a U-shaped hemline, but I haven't trimmed since October 2010...

October 2011, dry (hip length, the angle is not right)

November 2011, after cassia treatment with braidwaves (hip length)

Hope this helps. :)

Here's mine! The ends are much thinner than they look because I have a lot of layers. Slowly thickening it up. :)

I can't wait until I have enough posts in so that I can actually view these pictures/albums. I also have a u-shape to the back of my hair. Basically it is because of the layers that I still have.

I want my ends to be blunt (I think) but my daughter says to keep the u-shape instead. She and her sister both have a deep v in theirs. I used to have that, but found that it made my hair look stringy if you know what I mean. I did Faye's self-trim and ended up with a u-shape. It looks much better in my opinion, but now I'm trying to decide whether to go for blunt or not.

I think it looks healthier when it is blunt, but maybe not as "modern". ???

My hair has a natual U-line. I've had V before but it grew out to U fast. I prefer U anyways :D
I think blunt hemlines look thick and healthy but I thought it made my hair look so heavy and (sorry) boring..
