Looser waves after SMT

Anyone experiencing this? Just recently I have done two SMT's and both times the results are a much looser wave pattern (which I actually love).

Is there any reason why this would happen?

It sounds like the hair was overmoisturized. Did it feel differently with the looser wave pattern?

Omg! Really, i MUST try one then! I wonder if the extra moisture weighs the waves down...idk maybe someone more scientifically gifted will pop by and help? I just clarifyed so my waves are poofier then usual...fun...not.

I experience the same thing each time I do a SMT. My curls are a bit weighted down but my hair is so soft! It doesn't last though (fortunately!) and after the next wash my curls are back to normal.
As far as I am concerned, I think the conditioner I use is a bit too heavy for my fine hair. I might try with a lighter one when I have used all my stash.
