Dear all,

Since my hair got longer it has become very slightly wavy from the mid-lengths down:). I really like the effect. It is like the subtlest of bends ... not even a wave. I am wondering, because I am growing my layers right out, whether to retain a few layers would support the slight bends or whether one length is better. Any thoughts/experience would be appreciated!

From my experience my hair is more wavy when in layers. I have pretty straight hair (stick-straight when I was a kid) but has got slightly more "bendy".. but still no big waves.

Thanks B-L ..yes this is a very recent development for me too! I noticed when the layers were first cut in that my hair looked permed on a humid day..really wavy. Now it's longer it has the slightest crinkle! I am thinking of keeping the subtlest of layering in my hair but will discuss with the hairdresser in 2 weeks. She advises against having many layers at all in longer, fine hair..which is of course the majority view on this site.
