That is some AMAZING growth! They say that on average, from shaved, your hair should be about to the shoulder over a two year period. You went way beyond that AND with multiple trims in between! I hope my hair has as good of progress as yours does!

Some more info:
During that 2 years, I had one month in which I grew an inch from my special diet, and another month in which I grew an inch from topical rooibos. For the other 22 months, I grew at about average speed.

Yeah, I thought so too. The whole time I was growing from pixie I kept anticipating the day when I'd be able to get all of it into a ponytail and measure. I measured it like three times with different rulers and measuring tapes. I re-checked the hair typing system to make sure I was doing it right. I was a little mad, but I had to accept that yes, I am in fact an i. My hair just fluffs up a lot I guess. :shrug:

Ah! Sorry it took me so long to reply! I neglected to subscribe to my own thread. :o

So. The special diet. You remember the food pyramid? Basically my diet was like that but with:
bottom tier - protein
next tier up - avocado, banana & coconut
third tier - cucumbers & dark leafy greens
top tier - vitamin pills & molasses

I basically didn't eat ANYthing except those.

And I forgot to mention that I was also doing a daily minute-long scalp massage during both of my fast growth months.
