I found this (http://www.rootsonly.com/) while watching some tutorials today and I'm interested not only for touching up my roots but also for oiling my scalp.

The online reviews are all positive, which makes the cynic in me a bit leery, so I wanted to see if anyone knows this product and, if so, what your experience is/has been with it.

Thanks in advance! :)

I think the only special part is the comb end for the applicator. Any small bottle with a thin tip would work. And even salons use a stiff brush applicator to paint the roots.

I've been experimenting with recycling small agave syrup bottles with narrow tip applicators.

Not bad but recycled or Sally's seems cheaper.

Keep us posted-

Elumen makes an applicator comb that actually works quite well and is faster and easier than using a tint brush, at least for me. Looks like the same kind of principle.

Personally I think you would have better luck with an old mascara wand...

Wal mart has these in the hair care section for 3 or 4 bucks.

Probably won't work for roots, but for oiling my scalp I found that a regular cotton ball works the best.
