Oh wow so lovely! I have a real quick easy hairstyle she would probably really love, and it is so easy , I did mine without sectioning the top and pulling it through * do not have a topsy turvy thing :< but it looks just as cool and very lord of the rings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SisPESQ0JJw !!! She does have rapunzel hair :>

Very pretty! I haven't seen such nice hair on a little lady in quite a while. A lot of kids let it get pretty beat up or cut it short (my hair was super short for most of my younger years).

You mentioned being worried about caring for it as it gets longer. Have you considered a tangle teezer? My head used to be super sensitive, especially when I was her age, and that brush would have solved a world of problems. My hair is classic length now and I absolutely love that brush. It doesn't tug at all, and I was used to the "tough it out, grit and bear it, need to make your head tougher" school of thought. Wish I'd known that wasn't necessary.

Thank you all for your lovely comments.
Red-Wednesday asked her for hair tips and she got all giggly. she says always brush your hair from the bottom up (I taught her this :) ), use the red shampoo and conditioner (Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends- her hair loves it) and always put it in a braid to sleep because if you are like her and wriggle in your sleep then it won't get so tangly. :)
Kira94 she is 8.
Arc691 she knows we are friends and asks about you a lot. You are her hair idol. :)
BlueMuse we have each got a tangle teezer. Although she keeps loosing hers!

Error I looked at the video and it is gorgeous.
Shame my daughter can't sit still that long for me to do it.
She can just manage to sit for a French braid.
She is such a wee fidget!
Thank you for sharing it. :)

Oh, how sweet! That is such a beautiful compliment!

And I love to use HE shampoo and conditioner, too - the same kind, red bottles and for long hair :) Whenever we go on a trip I try to bring enough back to last me for a while!

My daughter has decided to grow hers as well, my daughter is 7. She used to have waist length hair by the time she was 3.5 but it was so damaged as she was only 3.5 and wouldn't let me take care of it. My daughter's hair right now is an inch or two below chin length and she's much more mindful in the care of her hair. Can you ask your daughter a question on my daughter's behalf? "How often do you detangle your hair?"

(My daughter HATES that part and will try and skip days of it. Her hair is too short to keep in a protective updo right now so it gets rather snarled.)

I think your daughter's hair is just LOVELY! There is a blog that has a photo tutorial of how to do Belle's hairstyle in the ball scene from Beauty and the Beast, I think that would be adorable for a little princess!

Tell her to keep up the good work. She's well on her way to gorgeous hair. If it helps, I posted a youtube video with info on how to oil long hair, how to BBB long hair, how to do a simple updo. It turns out a lot of people found it of interest how I detangle my hair, too, so that's in there too.

There's another thread on Mane Forum with the link.
