hello there,

I decided to give it a try after watching the tutorial by LaDollyVita33 on youtube.

It looks messy on me because it's only my second attempt (it's not too bad, is it?) and I washed my hair today, so they are tangly and fly everywhere I don't want them to...

Well, I like the look itself but ARRGGGH! Look at it! My hair is sooo thin and fine thaat you can see the scalp. :( :( Don't know what to think...

Anyways, I want to share it with you as I'm happy that it was easier to manage than I would've thought. :)

(The lighting's crappy as always... It looks a tiny bit better in reality.)

Your hair is fine, you just worked with a center part or some kind of part. I would've combed all the hair back from the forehead hairline.

The photos are out of focus. Lighting is fine.

Just keep practicing and you'll get better. Promise.

It looks really classic and pretty.

Don't worry about your scalp showing, it's just the natural crown. I have thick hair, but if you look at my braid experiment pics you can see my scalp...

My perimeter braid wasn't the nicest my first couple tries either. I think yours looks nice for a second attempt. I like the flower accessory too. :blossom:

I wish I could see your picture! I don't post as often as I should in this forum and I think I'm still newbie status!
I'm excited to hear that you gave it a shot though, and I'm sure it looks great!! Thanks for trying it out!! - Siobhan

It's such a pretty updo! I think with more practice you'll be able to work with the direction your hair goes and avoid the scalp showing.

I personally think the flower is a little overwhelming for your hair and something smaller would look better proportion-wise.

Excellent work, though! I'm excited to try it when my hair gets longer :D
