Hi all I have two questions. I didnt want to open two new threads so thought I would combine them.

I have just purchade some olive oil root stimulator spray and wondered if anyone else had had any sucess with this?

My second question is I would love to have big big hair like Cheryl Cole style (not massive but big). I dont like backcombing so that isnt an option but any advice would be great I have tried sock bun but it doesnt work sadly. My hair is naturally straight and whatever type of curl / braid I do it falls out as soon as I leave the house.

Any advice to achieve this would be great

I found that if I use a clarifying or protein shampoo for my scalp, my roots look much thicker than they would otherwise. A shampoo with cones makes my roots pretty flat.

I'm sorry the olive oil spray didn't work out for you. It sounds like its a pre-wash treatment.

The olive oil spray sounds like something that you'd use for a scalp massage, not to make your roots stand up. Any time you put oil on your roots, it's going to make them look limp. That's why most people use oil on their ends, and only on the whole head as a pre-shampoo treatment.

As for Cheryl Cole hair, you could use mousse and blowdry upside down to get some lift.

Have you tried blowdrying upside down? Maybe on the cool or warm setting to stay away from the heat? I would do rollers on the very top of my head and then blowdry the roots with a little hairspray upside down on cool/warm to get the volume at the roots.. I can't see the picture, so I'm guessing about what style you want :)

A little mousse applied at the roots, then blow-dried while hair hangs toward the floor gives lift at the scalp. Look for the word "moisturizing" because some mousses can dry your hair out.

Yeah I have this too. (the olive oil root stimulator) I think it's more for clean hair, that you are going to blow dry. Otherwise you need an immediate wash lol :bull:

Pure aloe vera gel can be used instead of mouse or gel.

Blowdry upside down and set on large magnetic rollers. If you get large enough rollers, they won't curl the hair, but will add lots of volume at the crown. Be sure to over-direct the curl.

Thanks I will try and get some curlers this week if I can. I am quite quick when it comes to hair in the mornings as I spend so long perfecting my daughters and run out of time for me :-)

The aloe gel can I use the green one? I BOught some last nighnt but didnt realise it had to be pure. This one is for sunburn would it be ok?
