Should probably put this in the Testing forum, as I am having no luck post them to my album. You leave LHC for couple months and they change the locks behind you!

Anyway, I did this the day before Halloween, and here's how the fadeout went:

I love the color, especially in the third one! Reminds me of cupcakes. :p It faded out really well.

Wow, fun! How long did it take to fade out like that? Is it gone all the way yet?

I would say the fade out looks really awesome! Normally I'm not a fan of how it looks but the manic panic doesn't look bad at all. Very nice color btw. :)

It took about six weeks, just as the label promised. There is still a teeeeny bit of pink in the underlayer, but you have to be looking for it to notice it. I got sick of it around week five and started washing more often to be rid of it. :D

Battles, that cupcakey shade was my favorite too. :) The original was too much! I've never really had much pigment at all in my hair so it was quite a shock at first.

I don't really see any zits...if that helps. *Shrug*

Very cool! My favorite is the second to last "fade out" your hair looks like cotton candy! And you my dear, are adorable. :)

That looks so pretty all the way through! I've been thinking of dying my underlayer (can't have crazy colors at work), but was worried about the bad fading. Well this doesn't look bad at all! Thanks for the inspiration. :)

Gorgeous colour! When it was first put in AND when it faded out. I wish I had naturally blonde hair, because I'd try all sorts of Manic Panic colours (alas I'm not gonna bleach to try it).

Oh, and don't worry about the zits... I still get them... at 38! I've got a whopper coming up on my chin right now...

Here's a pic of my dark purple hair. It looks kinda black in the light, but trust me, it was purple. The first pic is of me as a wood elf. The second is a studio pic,all done by my pro photographer friend, John.

Wow, that looks like so much fun! Wish I could get away with that, alas, not in the job description. The fade out looks great by the way, any plans on trying another color?

Thanks! No more "colors" for awhile, though. The pink attracted a surprising amount of attention and I'm ready to be a little less conspicuous for awhile. :p

That looks really interesting! Now, I am not personally a fan of the color pink (perhaps because it is a color that doesn't suit me) but it looks really good on you!

Really cute! Did you do anything to lighten your bangs ahead of the rest of your hair, or did that happen by itself?

Awesome! Loved all of them. And you looked beautiful in each. I too noticed no skin problem: all we notice is your hair & eyes. Lovely.

I'm hoping to dye my hair this upcoming week a lovely shade of purple. May I ask which color of manic panic did you use, and did you also use the amplified?

I hope that it sticks to my hair as I have used henna and indigo in the past. I'm really excited to have such a lovely hue.

By itself. I imagine it's because my bangs always get wet when I wash my face.

Love the pink hair! But it looks good grown out, too.

And, as far as getting zits goes, I'm 54 and still get them - just what you wanted to hear, I'm sure!

I love it. I never thought to use it in virgin hair, I am getting cravings for rainbow colors!!

Stop the enabling! My DH will be so embarrassed if I color it blue (again). :D
ETA: I'm sure blue wouldn't work with my natural hair color but you get the idea.

I've been thinking of going green, but I have been afraid that it might not wash out of my porous, dyed ends very well. Is your hair dyed/bleached at all?

no, no bleach or dye beforehand.

I'm not going to lie; sometimes I think I see a flash of pink, even now. Then I stare at it for awhile, unable to decide if it is actually pink or if my mind is playing tricks on me.

I just want to say that you rock! :rockerdud I love the fact that you did a cool, funky color! Btw, you do look a lot younger than your age. I love how the color faded nicely but I especially love the body and curl in your hair, so pretty.

The best thing about this is the blue, as it fades, acts as toner to gray/silver. So what you get is something a little more silvery, but not *blue*.

Love it! It looks great at every stage but I especially love the cotton candy stage. I'm also impressed that you actually did it! I've been wanting to for some years now and just can't quite let myself take the plunge. ( I'd love to go coral.)

As for your skin, I don't see any bumps. I'm going to be 45 this year and I'm still battling skin issues that I thought would leave me once I turned 21. It's gotten worse as I've aged instead of better- talk about a bummer.

What color are you going to try next?

Wow, what color/brand is that? I like it. Find the blues tempting but I've heard they tend to fade greenish, not blue.

and thanks, everyone! I did really enjoy it-- would recommend to anyone looking for some temporary fun.

Liz, I think the very very last of the pink is really gone now-- I finally picked up some clarifying shampoo the other day and that did the trick. It really wasn't noticeable before, you had to know it was there and look for it, and it was only on the underlayer.

WHOA I love Manic panic. I have a pink streak right now but I've also had blue, turquoise and vampire red. I encourage everyone to put some on and have some fun, even if you only put it over dark hair for a bit of tint.

I love Manic Panic! My colour doesn't come out that vivid because I only have dirty blond hair, you're luckly ;) A few years back I would bleach my hair, then dye it green every 6 weeks xD I hate how bleach makes my hair though so no more for me :)
