This is my damp hair after CO, combing in the shower, and gently towel drying.

I know it's rather messy looking and I'll post more when my hair is fully dry... but doesn't this look like more than 1c? I've not done hairtyping before without combing out of the shower so my hair is always straighter looking when it dries as a result. I don't know.. what do you think?

Yes, that looks more like 2a to me. Starting around your ears, you have a clear, well-defined wave pattern all the way through your hair.

Maybe even 2B.

I'd say 2a or 2a/2b. :)

Yay that's exciting! I've always wanted to be a wavy :D

One question though... did anyone else notice it takes FOREVER for their hair to dry this way? I'm just wondering cause it is winter... and I'm sitting here trying to keep warm sipping coffee and waiting not very patiently for my hair to dry... lol

On another note, I went to check out pictures of different hairtypes according to Fia's hairtyping chart and all I see are big red x's. I know I was able to see the pictures a long while ago... what happened do you think?

Ok, I CO'ed and added a little conditioner to the length and towel dried then scrunched. This was the result dried:

I'm so excited!!!! :D I honestly didn't think this was possible for me.

Beautiful hair! You look like a solid 2b to me, particularly since your hair held the wave so well after scrunching.

Looks great! Embrace the waves :)

Solid 2b, I'd say.

I'd say 2b. You're definitely a wavy! I'm also noting that your ends are trying to spiral a bit.

Possibly even a 2c, with the way the ends are starting to curl.

With your newest pictures, I'd call that a 2b. :) Gorgeous!

Looks SO MUCH like mine, but mine doesn't spiral at the ends.

I'd say 2b, too, specially seeing those last photos! Well into wavy territory, and with such pretty waves :D

I agree! Beautiful waves! :)

I call myself 2b because I have very, very fine braid waves when I air dry, and larger, smoother waves when I comb. Straight if I ever (now, never) blow dry it. It seems like 2a's and 2b's are all a little defferent.

I don't think I'm a 2c. While I do get spirals on the ends, throughout the day my hair starts to straighten some, more in the solid 2a category. If I can figure out how to keep my hair at its waviest (as pictured here) I would be exceedingly happy. I have no experience getting waves to have staying power. I need something without cones to hold it in place without looking wet or getting crunchy and that also will wash out with sulfate-free shampoo and/or cone free conditioner.

I would suggest Jessicurl products.
