I like cones but not in clarifying shampoo and every one that I have had contained some kind of cones. Any suggestions to ones without them?

I used to use Neutrogena Anti-Residue. It works fine for the job :)

Water (Purified), Amino Methyl Propanol, Cocoamide DEA, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Citric Acid, Fragrance

Thanks! Does it have castor oil in it?

Uh oh, I hope I'm not triple posting right now! It has a form of hydrogenated castor oil:

I'm confused...this is what the back of the box my Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo says for ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Citric Acid, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance.

Do they make different formulations? Because your ingredients are way different.

According to mine, there is castor oil in it ladyshep.

When I need to clarify I use Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo. It doesn't have cones, but it is pretty harsh on my hair. I have to do a very moisturizing treatment after.

I just bought Aubrey Organics Green Tea Clarifying Shampoo. I'll let you know how it worked when I use it later this week.

I have two that i go for, either a Lush bar (usually Ultimate Shine), or the pre-dye shampoo by La Riche (The people who make Directions). I think it's called Jazz, but I can't remember. I don't think it's got cones in it. I usually stay away from them, so probably not, but I haven't got the bottle to hand to check.

If I recall the VO5 clarifying shampoo I used did not contain cones. But I don't have a bottle here to check. It might be worth looking into as it only cost 85 cents. :) (and worked great, I think I need to pick up another bottle this weekend)

Cool. Thanks everyone! I've got a lot to choose from now, and I will ditch the Paul Mitchel clarifying shampoo.
