Lightening oxidation browning from henna

I read several times over at H4H, from Carrie herself, that using 20-30 volume creme developer can "brighten the red" of the henna by actually lightening the natural shade of your hair beneath it.

Has anyone done this after going too dark? Also, my main question is, does this developer need to be mixed with anything to activate it or can it be used alone?

Yep, our dearest Nightshade has managed to lighten her henna some using sun-in. I am not up on what strength of bleach it is, and nobody is going to promise that you will get similar results but it has been done. Here is the thread.
