Bump.
Has anyone tried these? I'm "this close" to buying them. Somebody tell me why I should -- or shouldn't.

My mom is trying them, let me ask her how it is going and I will get back to you!
Mom says:
Most certainly needs to do much better then it is in the first week to be worth the price.
She has noticed less shedding though but it has also only been the first week.

Mom has also told me that the scalp treatment has a very strong herbal smell. When I asked her if it was bad she said no it's just strong. I haven't seen her since she started to use the system but if she visits today I will see if I can smell it or not and then advise every one on what it smells like.

Alright we actually have a substantial update. For a little back story I am my Mom's hair dresser, so I know her hair almost as well as I know my own. I just trimmed her hair a month ago so I am fairly impressed with the product as my sum it all up.
She is starting week two of the treatment and using the scalp stuff everyday but only washing every three days as that is her normal routine. The scalp stuff makes you an oil mess if you use what the bottle says. For those skipping washes 2-4 drops instead of 8 works just fine.
The scalp treatment smells like Nightblooming Panacea, some where between original and winter flavors. With out them right next to each other there's no way to say if they smell EXACTLY alike but familiar enough to me that I started looking for ingredients on the bottle and no they aren't there. Maybe on the box but I have no idea where that has gone.
Anyways moving on, when combing braiding and generally playing with Mom's hair it's softer and feels better from root to end which is surprising for me. We are in a record heat wave type deal and her ends feel better then mine and it's generally the other way around. Less tangles and less fall out but we have already reported on the fall out.
We talked with a store that sells it in the neighborhood and they claim it is the "natural" solution to Nioxin. Do I trust and believe Salon people, no. Could she have been telling the truth, sure. Does Aveda have a loose grasp on the definition of natural? You bet your sweet bippy they do. I can't find ingredients (not that I am looking super hard) but I think I will stick to Panacea.
Of course every one's hair is different and I am sure if I tried the system the Naughty Mess would just be evil and naughty the opposite way of what it is now.
I can't tell you if it's honestly worth the money. I am sure if I took enough time and researched and really really tried I could find my Mom the holy grail for her hair for less. The biggest challenge is getting her to stick to the same thing for more then a month so I will continue to leave her up to her own device until she starts doing really bad things.

Did you decide to try it? The reviews on the link said some good things but that might have been the product's/company's website now that I think of it. But it does look interesting doesn't it?

Last night, I applied the Invati Scalp Revitalizer according to direction. It smells lovely -- a light, earthy herbal fragrance with no discernible floral notes. I haven't had the time to read the ingredients, but I believe that I detect frankincense and myrrh. The fragrance doesn't linger. The product soaks right in and doesn't leave my hair greasy. In fact, it provides a little root lift, which is nice.
This a.m., I shampooed and conditioned with Invati, then applied the Revitalizer after towel drying. The shampoo is very thin and watery, which is something some folks have complained about in the reviews. I enjoyed using this shampoo: It smells good, creates an abundance of tiny bubbles (not big SLS bubbles) and leaves my hair almost tangle free. I felt almost as if I could skip the conditioner, but I'm glad that I didn't. I don't know (or care) whether it includes cones, but it didn't feel slippery like a coney condish. But my hair felt tangle free when I rinsed it out.
Detangling was easy and my hair was very soft, smooth and slippery. I had a difficult time making a decent updo.
Detangling after it was dry was easier than usual.

Thank you for the update, Seeshami. :flower:
I've been using the system for just over a month. I developed a CWC routine with the Aveda Invati that will make the products go further without compromising the touted benefits:
I apply whatever conditioner I'm trying to use up on the length while it's still dry before I hop into the shower.
I hold the length out of the spray and wet my scalp, then shampoo it with Invati.
Rinse out the shampoo and the conditioner.
Apply Invati conditioner to my scalp only, massaging it into my scalp.
Apply whatever coney conditioner I'm trying to use up to the length only.
Rinse everything out.
After towel drying, apply Invati scalp revitalizer to my scalp as directed.
Apply Moroccan Oil or other coney leave-in to the length and smooth the residue over my crown.
Before bed, I apply the scalp revitalizer as directed.
I have a crop of baby hairs on my crown, which is one of my thinning areas, so I'm delighted.
The shampoo is extremely gentle, lathers well and smells nice, but not in a flowery or conventionally herbal way.
The conditioner has almost no fragrance. I only use it on my scalp.
The scalp treatment is my favorite product. It smells slightly astringent; I swear it has witch hazel in it.
I told DH, who is balding, that he has to start using them. I am still working on the first set of products, but bought a second set so I won't run out.
I'll check in down the road and keep you posted. :flower:

RIGHT OFF THE BAT - If you have 100 bucks to spend and are sittin on the fence, TREAT YOURSELF!!! The shampoo and conditioner are $24 each and the scalp treatment is an insane $60 (I went to the Aveda store in NYC on my lunch break and the salespeople are just too good, it's unfair)
The main reason I got interested in this stuff to begin with is that I've been reading so much about how healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. Supposedly this stuff exfoliates your scalp with naturally derived salicylic acid the same way you would your face or body.
So anyway I decided to treat myself for my birthday (lad dee da) and couldn't be happier. I have fine hair with dry ends so my routine lately has been CWC every 3 days, mousse the roots + moisturize the ends (when wet) for styling, and then air-dry and bbb. In between washes I just let it do it's thing. I'm just below bsl and aside from about 2 in. of my ends my hair looks very healthy....That being said, I can't really compete with these Manhattan girls and their extensions/ $100 haircuts so I generally feel like an under-styled hippie at work. Which I'm fine with!! All in the name of healthy hair future.
HOWEVER introducing this line to my hair has helped me eliminate all styling products yet look so much more...how should I say...."tended to" than before. My hair immediately looked TONS fuller and softer without any extra product. I just wash, condition, air-dry, bbb - then apply the scalp treatment at bedtime.
It's only been 2 weeks but I'm hooked! I can't remember having hair days like this, ESPECIALLY (!!) since I stopped heat styling earlier this year. Plus hair washing days are like my favorite days.
A tip the Aveda lady told me - lather shampoo before applying to scalp as it's not super sudsy.
So far the only drawback I've noticed is that adding product to my scalp daily has made my hair a little dirtier looking by day 3. I'm going to take the advice above and try using less than the recommended amount.
BIG BUMP to this thread because I want others to try this stuff and share...I feel like I bought the snake-oil and the snake-oil worked.
Also, if you have questions about ingredients I obviously have the bottles and can answer questions.

LuckyH, thank you for your very enthusiastic review! :flower: I love this line:
I feel like I bought the snake-oil and the snake-oil worked.
I've been using these products in a CWC routine (not using it on the length in order to save product and, thus, money). I have a whole crop of .5 - 3" hairs all over my crown which I attribute to Invati.
Having said that, I really can't envision continuing to spend this kind of money on hair care products. So I started alternating with LUSH New (SLS shampoo bar), which is supposed to stimulate hair growth. And I'm using other products, as well.
I do have DH, who is balding, using the Invati products that we have. I am not sure that they are helping him like they helped me jump start hair growth.
So, long story short, we'll probably use up what we have and not rebuy these products. Of course, if I lose any of the hair that I've regrown, I'll run out and buy another supply of Invati! :flower:

Neoma- I am trying desperately to put out of my head the thought of spending this much money again! I think I might buy the shampoo and conditioner but skip the scalp treatment next time around....or I might start alternating products to stretch it out. Or start playing the lottery.

EH, I don't LIKE Aveda products. That's all my hairdresser (I miss her!!) would recommend to me... I really didn't like it and I have thin fine hair. I haven't used this but I used other products... much better cheaper stuff out there. I would say don't do it!

Well one red flag is Aveda doesn't post the ingredients in their products, that's not a good sign. But I dug around and found this:

It's like a witch's brew of every single ingredient that was ever reported or rumored to help with hair loss and thrown into one pot. There are so many potentially irritating ingredients in those formulas, it's too many to count. Yikes, no, I wouldn't chance it!

I love Aveda products and haven't tried the Invati line yet, but I just noticed something about the ingredients:
One of the first ingredients (#s 5 & 6) in the conditioner and scalp treatment is turmeric root extract. This is confusing to me because I know Indians will mix turmeric with oil and apply it to skin to STOP hair growth where you don't want it(face, arms, legs, etc.). So why would they put it in products promoted to GROW hair?!?!

Wow, that's right! I don't know either. I think sometimes turmeric is used orally for hair loss, but even then it's poorly absorbed (less than 1%?) by the body. But I also recall reading about turmeric being used topically to remove hair. Maybe someone will know the reasoning..

Eek! That's weird!
So I did a quick google search on turmeric for hair loss indicated it was good for clearing up dandruff and providing nourishment for hair follicles.

Reading this made me pull out my still half full bottle of Mega Tek. It was $25 for the bottle but I still have lots to use up. So used it the other night and had lovely, thick hair (mine is really thin) which was pretty much tangle free. I dilute the mega tek, about 1/3 product to 2/3 water, otherwise I cannot spread it around my scalp. I use a pointy tipped bottle to apply directly to my scalp and massage it in. Forgot about it in the back of my cupboard, it is now in front to be used every time I shampoo. Worked well for me before.
The Aveda sounds nice but is very pricey. Fun to read everyone's results.

So bump bump bumpity BUMP!!!!
I used the shamp, cond, and scalp revitalizer Tuesday night, scalp stuff wed morning, last night and this morning, and omg. my hair is getting better by the day. seriously. and I know that sounds silly.
THIS STUFF IS AWESOME!!!
of course, too soon to really tell, but here it goes.
Shampoo: runny consistency, but I like it, smells fantastic, makes tiny super bubbles, felt like it was super cleaning my scalp, but in a happy non harsh very thorough kind of way.
Condt: soft, and thicker consistency, like it was realllly conditioning. Smells amazing. was so so for detangling. ( i usually have to use something else like a leave in detangler any ays, so I wasnt surprised)
Detangling after..... quite scary. ok, so I had not washed my hair for 6 days. I usually go 3. My hair was dirty and nasty, soreish scalp (like it NEEDS to be washed sore) and i think its a shedding time of year anyways, but I bet i shed at least 100 or more hairs which is a TON for me. (normally 30ish) So, it was prob an extra three days worth of hair, so thats fine. It seemed about double than what comes out every 3 days but it seemed a bit more, too. ( I didnt count, but it was enough to freak me out. gobs and gobs.) I have a theory this shampoo seriously exfoliated my scalp, which it says it does, and a bunch of hairs that were going to come out anyways came out, too. So Im not panicking. I bet I have clogged follicles anyways, and it really cleaned them out.
so.... after that said, my hair looks and feels better than before. Super shiny, crazy body. (not slippery like I can run my finger thru it, but not terrible, either. no matts or anything) This stuff is 97% natural. the ingredients are wonderful, and I think Im in love.
Scalp stuff: cats meow. bees knees. smells amazing, tingles your scalp, feels great, and gives you insane lift, volume, and its nourishing your scalp.
Overall, Ill keep you posted after I use it a bit more. The one bonus for me is that I work in a salon, so it was 50 for all three things for me, and If I continue to love it can get liters of it for a good deal, I only say this because theres no way I would have bought it if I had to pay full price, but im telling you, give it a try. I am all for shedding less, growing more hair, having crazy body and shine without stripping my hair. This stuff is totally worth the hefty price tag.(again, Ill keep updating. Ive only used it a few times so Ill try not to get too excited. :)

Has anyone tried just the scalp revitalizer? I'm pretty happy with my current routine, but am trying to jump-start follicle growth/stimulation with scalp massages with rosemary oil, etc., due to hair loss from my trichotillomania.
Haven't seen any improvement in months, anyone think this might be worth a shot? I'd rather not use the entire system, but I also don't want to throw the money away on using just the scalp revitalizer if it might not do anything by itself.

I'm hoping to know if the invati line is cone and sulfate free. I read a few things on there that could be cones or sulfates, but I'm not an expert.
Thoughts? I have samples and didn't know if I should use them or not. That said, gods my hair looks amazing after visiting the salon. I hope my shampoo bar will give me the same results soon... :(

I hated the mega-tek - it did nothing for me. But I'm going to give this a try. I've read some rave reviews online, and although I super skeptical, I'm not averse to trying it since my normal wash routine has recently given up on me.
One thing a lot of people say is that the conditioner is not great for detangling. That's fine - I'll stick with my conditioner that I LOVE (Karen's Body Beautiful) for the length and the invati only for the top bit. :)
Here's hoping!

I quit using Invati because I didn't want to spend the money. Bad move. I lost approximately 25% of my hair in a major shed.
I went to a dermatologist a few days ago. She took blood and prescribed biotin and Rogaine.
I used the Rogaine for two days. This afternoon, I had chest pains. I have no doubt that they were caused by the Rogaine; it is a known side effect and the timing can't be coincidental.
I am going to throw away the Rogaine. I'd rather be bald than to be dead.
I will continue taking the biotin. And I am going to start using Invati again. I will report back with my results.

Neoma, I tried Rogaine for few days, no side effects but this stuff scares me so much, that I've stopped using it. It can cause some serious side effects and harm unborn baby if mother is on it. I also prefer to have thin hair than using it. Will try Aveda when I'll finish my current regimen.

Well if it works it works! I reckon price is a big issue.. I know it would be for me. I was just wondering if people had actually seen that message :flower:

So I'm curious if any of you have continued to use this long term and whether it actually helped thinning aread as opposed to just stopping breakage. I've got low thyroid and started thinning with perimenopause. I'm really trying to look around and see what might help. I've had people suggest a Young Living Oils mix called "mermaid hair", but I'm skeptical that something like that would really help and concerned that absorption might have other adverse effects.

I have tried it, and I like the serum but not the shampoo and conditioner (they make my hair all gummy and tangled). It says to use it twice a day, but I bought one of the smaller bottles and used it about 3x a week at night, and I think it helps a little with the shedding. My standard go- to for hair loss is rosemary essential oil in a little bit of pure aloe, but I tried the Invati for something new.
My thyroid is also an issue, I'm within normal range for my TSH, but it could be better. The numbers should read as close to 1 as possible, mine runs 2.5-3, although I'm due to retest it soon since I've been taking this thyroid support by Integrative Therapeutics called Thyrosine Complex. Not sure what's going on in your case, but I can tell you mine, I have trouble with vitamin and mineral absorption and just wasn't absorbing all of the nutrients needed for optimal thyroid health (iodine, zinc, magnese, copper, selenium). However, it's been a while since I've had a major shedding issue, even with the low-normal thyroid, my hair has been doing okay. Last time I had an issue was several years ago when I was doing the sulfate free thing, and I think certain cleansers, herbs and essential oils were irritating my scap. Since going back to "regular" shampoo without a lot of extra stuff in it, and using the rosemary eo/ aloe, things have improved. My hair is not as thick as it once was, and I was hoping that Ivanti would boost dormant hair follicles, but I haven't really noticed it doing that.
Anyways, the Invati is pricey, but okay. I can say that I've seen equal results with the rosemary/ aloe, but I'm a little obsessed with Aveda scents and like it for that reason too. You can always buy a little trio on eBay or something and see how your scalp reacts. Aveda oftentimes have good email offers to try samples with purchase if you sign up for their email list as well.
