Hello everyone :D

I just got that monthly (or so) urge to cut my bangs again! This time it has been a while (2 months :P) but I have no idea what I should do. Or actually, I DO have an idea but I don't know if I want to do it or not.

Here are some pictures of my bangs right now:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v438/postalwar/bangs1.jpg

It's straight across bangs that grew too long so I sweep them to the side.

What they looked like 2 months ago and how I now pin them aside:

I think we all can agree I have a big forehead, right? :P Anyway, I'm a bit torn. Like, should I grow them out so they can be more easy to style, or should I cut them because bangs are more flattering on me anyway?
I think straight across bangs are not that flattering because they make my face look chubby.. so I was thinking about really short asymmetrical bangs (I like something different).

Like these:

I love that they're a bit edgy. I have always been that kind of person that changes her hair every month, undercuts, shaved half of my head etc. etc. So, even though I like my hair right now, it is a bit boring (to me).

What would you do, in my case? :)

(oh and my 1-year hairiversary is next week (or year) BE PREPARED! :D)

I think you look great with the very short bangs, but wow do the long ones in the very first pic flatter your eyes!

I would love to see the ones on the last model on you, except longer, like eyebrow length or just slightly above.

I think the short assymetrical ones would look good on, especially ones similar to the last picture. That being said, I don't think you need to worry about having a large forehead, as you also look good with them pinned back.

I actually like the short straight bangs on you! But if you want a change, I'd say go for the short asymetrical bangs. I have them for about 3 years now, sometimes I cut them very short, but now I let the side grow a bit longer. I think there are some pics in my album where you can see them:).

I like the asymetrical bangs, though you suit any or none either. I have a large forehead too and can do either, but id like to see the asymetrical ones on you, there quirky!

I have to say I love the slightly longer straight across fringe you have in the first picture. Your hair colour next to your eyes makes them look an absolutely stunning colour! You have to do what you want to do though, you're the one who has to live with it!

I like all of them. I even like the short ones.

Personal opinion - Longer sweeping bangs if you're going to keep bangs. I think you'd look lovely with fully grown out bangs, it would show off your beautiful blue eyes :)

I gotta admit, I always think short bangs look a bit odd...have you tried straight-across but wispy bangs? Or I think you would look nice with longer sideswept bangs into face framing pieces.

Your forehead is lovely, though.

I do like the ultrashort spiky ones, which are clearly meant to be that short IYKWIM...

I love the first pic !!! Long, straight across and almost in your eyes. Beautiful !!! And no, they do not make your lovely face look chubby.

I have no help for you, just wanted to say I LOVE your hair color! Very pretty!

I understand about feeling like you have boring hair! I'm one that tends to lean toward edgy haircuts as well, and hair that doesn't look sharp and different brings my confidence level down. Personally I'd do one of two things: cut them short and asymmetrical to get rid of the boring hair itch or grow them out longer. You do look good with them back, and a long sideswept fringe offers tons of options for vintage-type curls (the only thing getting me through my incredibly blah lack of hairstyle right now).

I love short ones in last 3 pics! I say go for it.
You have super interesting and beautiful face - it will look awesome!
And they will grow fast, to the point where they are now! :)

You have beautiful face and eyes, you do look better with bang but that does not mean that you do not look good without it :), I understand how you feel about your forehead, however your eyes color and shape kind of taking over, I would concentrate on your eyes and facial bone structure, I would not cover much of your eyes but rather accentuate it, check Carla Bruni pics when she was young, this is the bang that I think will look good on you, not straight cut but kind of shaggy or spiky ?, does not cover the eyes instead it show them more

I think any of those options would look good on you! Long or short, but perhaps not blunt. Bangs where the ends are slightly jagged and uneven would look great!

Wow, I like all those bangs (I'm a bang lover myself)...I kind of like the short, asymmetrical bangs actually, they look pretty and wispy.

I love the first pic too, the looser, longer bangs. If you want the asymmetrical bangs, I say go for it even though... I don't know, but I wouldn't do anything too drastic with that anniversary coming up. :p

Well, I don't think you can really go wrong here, no matter which you choose - all your pix look great! :D
Personally, I like the look of bangs with a bob cut - I just think it completes the look. I would say any of the asymmetrical ones would be a great choice. I agree that they are fun and edgy! Maybe ponder until you hit your one-year and make the decision then? The good news is they would grow back out pretty quickly if you later decide you don't want them. ;)
Hope you will post pics for your 1-year and if you decide to change your bangs! :cheese:

Thank you guys, for the suggestions and compliments! :D

I think I'm going for the short asymmetrical ones.. not sure yet though. Might wait till my 1 year anniversary (or just do it on the anniversary and take before & after pictures ;))

Go for it. That will keep you from wanting to chop. They will grow back to a longer length quickly if you don't like them. It will distract you from watching the rest of your hair too closely as it grows.

I think the straight across fringe is flattering on you, and the pinned back ones not so much.

They look best at their current length swept to the side, but I know that's a PITA.

If you feel like doing something different with your hair I think the asymmetrical fringe would be excellent. Your hair is definitely thick enough to keep the fringe, and it will give you something to play with as your hair grows.

I also think that if you let them grow out it will be much more flattering than when they are pinned back, especially if you part on the side and let your hair go across your face a bit. If you've never done that before maybe you could try. :)

Aah I just cut them, I couldn't help myself! They are REALLY REALLY short though, oops! Went a bit scissor happy I guess :P
Will post pictures next week with the anniversary post.. hopefully they have also grown a tiny bit by then haha!

I think side swept bangs would look really great on you. Sometimes I think super short bangs end up looking like the person is wearing a wig that shrunk, but that is totally just my personal opinion. If you decide to do the short bangs, I think you should do the asymmetrical.
