I finally got the danged bun down. :D

Everytime I thought about chopping it off, I watched binosume on youtube, more specifically her chestnut bun which was inspired by Breakfast At Tiffany's.

I finally got it! WooOoT!

Now I need to fine tune the kinks, but I'm so stoked.

Are the red streaks in your hair from henna? They are beautiful against the black.

I was going to ask about the red too ! Very pretty. And the bun is great, congrats, it looks very nice !

Bleached out henna. The bottom half of my hair has henna in it, the rest is virgin. Last year I wanted to put purple streaks in my hair and I was tired of the henna. So I died it black and bleached out the chunks to color purple...

Um.. when people say henna is permanent, they're not kidding.

Most dark haired folk's turn brassy orange when bleached without the proper toner, I'm sure you can testify to this UB as a hairdresser. Mine turned that vibrant red instead.

So I got lucky. Now that I can't reach the tips of my hair very well to properly deposit the purple or if I get too lazy to touch up, I can leave it as is. I get a lot of compliments on the red streaks. No one needs to know it was an accidental fubar. :eyebrows::eyebrows:

That bun looks simply gorgeous and you wear it perfectly! Always loved the way a sleek bun looked paired with a scarf.
