I dunno if you have seen this before but it's a tumblr dedicated to scans of hair. Usually there's a bit of face in there too. But it's nice to see all the different pretty shades and textures of hair.

I'm thinking of submitting my own hairscan.

You know, this seems like a good way to get fairly unbiased color results. Might be a bit different from what we're used to seeing since some of us exist primarily outside, or inside under fluorescent lights, but useful.

I tried it as well. :) Made only 4 pictures because I don't want my family see me while my head is in the scanner. :D They'd think I went crazy. Maybe they were right. :p I'll try again when I'm home alone.
I think I should add more light, cause they turned out pretty dark.

Loreley, your curls are so pretty. Very mermaidish. It reminds me of those Waterhouse paintings. I would love to see a version with more light.
