Help? Advice/Suggestions/Ideas as a Wedding Attendee

I'm a plus one to an acquaintance's wedding on December 27 (aka: two days). I need an idea of something to do with my hair.... Picture of my hair for reference (ignore my scraggliness):

The dress I'm wearing is knee-length in a festive green, thick straps. I don't have a picture (sorry), but it's pretty simple and I'll be wearing a simple necklace, earrings, and probably not any other jewelry, really simple makeup.

I would like something not too flashy -- it is someone else's wedding -- clean, pretty, and formal looking, but also a little different. I'm open to up or down styles....

I find it pretty easy to do, however I struggle with a regular crown braid :shrug:

Also I've done the one Madora suggested, using the half up way that is suggested above, it is also very pretty and simply done by leaving the bottom layer of hair out. It is pretty the regular way as well :)

How about a french twist? They're simple to make.
