Like most of us beginners, there was a point in July where I couldn't see any progress, got frustrated and wanted to chop it all off.
BUT, I decided not to. Mostly because I am a stubborn wench and once I have a goal in mind, I'm sticking to it until I reach it. The goal I had was to reach 'waist' long hair and it felt like it wasn't happening. EVER. I'd been stuck at the proverbial two inches away from my goal for ages.
Chiefly because I had to get a few trims as the layers were bugging the crud out of me.
Anyhow, despite my frustration, I kept going. I just stopped staring at it in the mirror/photographing it every other day etc to see progress lengths. A few days ago, I got an amazing compliment on my 'donut' bun, as the husband calls it with the phrase 'It looks like a rose in bloom!'
I came home, I photographed the bun, noticed it looked very much so like a rose in bloom and forgot about it. I was writing my blog today when out of curiosity, I decided to look at past pictures. Yup. My rope braid bun from March looks nothing like the one from a few days ago.
