And, to celebrate, :cookie: for all!
Two years and two days ago, I joined this site. I had just realized how long my hair really was after, for the first time in my life, a friend of mine curled it with a curling iron. Despite all the length eating curl, it was still a bit longer than APL! Heat styling wasn't something I did, and I immediately felt the difference: although I loved the curl, my hair was dryer, with lots more of split ends and breaking a lot! And so began my journey to healthier longer hair...
Before December 2009 my hair was as it had always been: long, tangled, and wavy:

And the curls that started it all:

Only a month (january 09) after starting CWC, my wurls we starting to come and eat my length!

And a year later (january 2010) I was past my first goal of hip when stretched:

This last year, bi-monthly trimming has taken it's toll on my length, and so I feel like it hasn't grown as much as it could, but now my ends are much, much better (though I'm still prone to split ends). I also started COing at the beginning of April, and my scalp is happier than ever! This is my hair as of right now, with a mix of braidwaves, bunwaves and frizz:

On my first post, I described my hair as
...wavy fine hair, waist-long, i thickness, that tangles a lot and tries to "escape" every bun I do.
Now, I'd say I've gone from wavy to wurly, from waist to tailbone, from i to ii, from tangly to "why is there a tangle here today? Must need a trim already..." and no more escapism from buns. It's still frizzy and has not so good days, but that's the way it is!
But hair is not the only thing that has changed since I came here for the first time. On this forums I've met people that have helped me in many ways, and I would like to thank you all for that. Thank you for being such a great community and sticking true to the fact that behind all that hair we are people and we care for each other, even if we've never met. Thank you for your advice on many things, for letting me rant when I needed it, and for sharing funny moments with me. With all my heart, thank you.
All in all, I'd say my journey is been productive, don't you think so? :D
