Beautifull Braids I found on Wikipedia (Georgia)

Hey LHCers!

I found this picture in Wikipedia and it was such a lovely surprise that I had to share!

I was reading about Georgia ( the country) and they have this picture of "Traditional Bride and Groom"

Now, Are those braids just astoundingly beautiful or what?! The bride looks sooo pretty! (and from what I can see, the braids are being held to the dress with a black ribbon)

This is so pretty, now I now how I want my hair for my wedding :D

That does look nice, although I think it's just regular 3 or 4 strand plaiting.

Pretty, but there's a part of me that thinks it's a wig. Something about the apparent lack of a hairline combined with the braids completely lacking taper.

Yes, they look like regular 3 strand braid, but it's shocking for me that apparently is the regular way to dress the hair!

They are not attached tightly, but they hang down through two loose ribbon loops that allow movement of the head without messing up the line of the braids down the front of the body?
