Got my donught-thingy today

My niece has this long brown hair - and her mother knows nothing about puting it up.
So for christmas I've bought her some things for that - a donught-thingy, a topsy-tail and some spiral elastic-things like these, but in various colours

Are they okay for the hair?

Then I've put all of the things in a fine little carboard draver.

And - well - since the donught thing was quite cheap - and it costed the same ordering one extra, I had to have one myself :D

I bought the small for her and medium for myself - glad I didn't buy it in large - it's quite big :ponder:

Do the spiral things work like regular hair elastics? I can't imagine using them on myself (they look like they would get snarled up enough to need to be cut out) but I'm curious if anyone here has used them and what their experience is.

The doughnut thing looks fine, I guess it works the same way as a sock bun? But the spirals freak me out a little. Are they meant for hair? I'd be terrified that they'd become awfully tangled, especially for a young girl. :shrug:

I use the spirals myself - haven't had problems with them.
Actually, used one of them around the donught - doesn't show, but take my word for it. ;)

Those spiral elastics barely hold up my hair. I guess it's fine for a ponytail at the nape. They're cute, though. :D

I love love love my doughnut. I adore big buns and yours looks gorgeous.
As for the telephone wire ponytail things, I think using them round the doughnut is a Great idea.
