Hi,

I found that link on Flickr: http://flickr.com/photos/7506280@N07...n/photostream/ (http://flickr.com/photos/7506280@N07...n/photostream/)

She is wearing a nice style, what do you think? I bought a similar slide from Oldschoolleather some months ago, however, I am still looking for a larger barette capable of holding all of my hair in place.

That's beadedbudgie -- she's a member here. Her updos are indeed gorgeous. :)

I am not very fond of this style as in this style the top of your braid is usually visible and I really not like it. Its very comfortable though.

Would it be possible to place the braid a bit lower, thereby keeping the top of the braid from being visible?

It's a beautiful style on her - that gorgeous, glowing-bright dark hair!

I think it is possible to fold the braid so that the top is not visible. I also wear this style occasionally and it works (mostly ;-)).

What lovely hair! I am actually wearing this style today with my jade border ficcare maximus! I like the way Cortese does it , and though my hair isn't nearly as long as hers I can usually manage to kind of fold it the same way.

To which I totally agree.:agree:. Its an extremely comfortable style as well. May be just does not suit me. But a similar style with open hair is my all time fav. ,like my avtar.

Hey guys! Thanks for the nice comments. I would have popped on sooner, but work has been running me down for the past few weeks and today I was able get home early.

I don't really wear this style much anymore because the slide is actually a bit too small now. Just another excuse for me to get a Ficcare, right?

Hi,

yes, Ficcare is great but I would prefer a leather barrette since the stick makes a wonderful contrast to the pinned-up braid. I think there are online shops where they offer custom-sized barrettes ... I have to look up the link, maybe I can post it around.
