When you switch washing methods does your hair get oily quicker first before going back to normal? Do you also see shed increase? If so, how long before each problem goes back to a normal rate?

When I switched to non-sulfate shampoo and doing it less often, it did take awhile. For me it took about two months...so worth it!

When I went sulphate-free, I didn't shed significantly more. My problems were (a) how different it felt, as in not very clean, and (b) the buildup was pretty bad the first few washes.

Now that I'm on CV bars, I did shed a lot at first. By the second week, it went back to just a few. That first week left me with some greasy hair, too. As discouraging as it was, I continued and the routine has improved thankfully.

I tried CO washing in the summer but didn't stick to it.... My hair didn't adjust well. I probably should have given it more time though.
