I want to get a SLS free shampoo. I was looking at all of the shampoo's that I have & I think that all of them have sulfates in them.
So lets have some name calling of some good SLS free shampoo's, OK??

Dr Organic Lavender shampoo - not brilliant, I wasn't fond of it but may work for others
The Body Shop Rainforest Radiance shampoo - better, I used to be sulfate free but have recently switched back to them, if I was to buy one again it'd be this
Boots Coconut and Almond shampoo - pretty good, too thick for me

The Desert Essence Organics line--I have the coconut
Nature's Gate organics line--I have the persimmon rose geranium
Dr. Bronner's--this is better diluted and with coconut oil added
Shikai Everyday Shampoo or the Moisturizing shampoo
There are a lot...

I use giovanni triple treat shampoo, which seems to work well. I am also going to try the Live Clean ACV shampoo because I really like their conditioners.
I also really love cleansing conditioners and if I didn't use so many products and oil I would probably just stick to those. I really love Deva No Poo.

I use Loreal EverSleek Intense Smoothing shampoo. Plus, they have an EverPure (color safe) and EverStrong line, but I think at least one of those shampoos has 'cones.
I think Burt's Bees has SLS-free shampoos, but I haven't tried them.

I think Burt's Bees has SLS-free shampoos, but I haven't tried them.
A friend of mine uses the grapefruit and sugar beet shampoo and conditioner religiously--she literally doesn't own anything else. I haven't tried them but her hair looks great.
I've tried a ton of SLS-free 'poos, but right now Elucence moisture benefits shampoo is my #1. I have to order it online which is a huge hassle, but that's my only complaint. It does contain sodium myreth sulfate, so it is not "sulfate free," but it is the 7th ingredient and I've had no issues of scalp or hair feeling dry. I personally don't discriminate against sulfates beyond the main offenders like SLS, SLES, ALS, etc. I'm just as wary of ingredients lists that contain upwards of 3 non-sulfate surfactants back to back (I'm looking at you, Giovanni), because I've yet to find a shampoo of that type that doesn't leave my hair squeaky, fluffy, and sad.

I can recommend Giovanni 50:50 and Kiss My Face Whenever shampoos, both are free from sulphates, lather well and get my hair feeling clean but not stripped of moisture.

I'm trying shampoo bars right now, but Giovanni Tea Tree and Kiss My Face Whenever give me great results too.

Avalon Organics Nourishing Lavender... I really like the smell of this one, and it lathers fairly well... I've been having to use a LOT of it at a time lately but it's better when diluted. It cleans well.
EO Rosemary & Mint Maximum volume shampoo.... again have to use quite a bit to lather and get a good clean, I used to start to resent this stuff and wasn't crazy about the smell but it's been cleaning much more now that I use a few pumps at a time so I've been going to it more, but I wouldn't rebuy this one.
Looking forward to trying Kiss my Face whenever shampoo next, and maybe a nature's gate in the future.
I love sulphates but am worried to damage my hair and avoid them. So this is a good thread.

I can relate. I went sulphate-free this summer and I had a rough time at first. My hair didn't feel "clean" as it did with sulphate shampoos, and I experienced significant buildup the first few weeks! But you eventually get the hang of it. And it's been a great choice because sulphate shampoos were really drying out my already dry hair. Plus my scalp is no longer irritated. :)

I've been using Johnson's Natural Baby Shampoo and it's my new favorite. I CO, but every now and then I need a shampoo.
