Just curious what you folks use to get rid of limp hair? My hair has suddenly become more limp than usual and I would like to try something to perk it back up.

Try using a good clarifying shampoo, it may be build up making it limp and / or scraggly, mine gets like that. Also check the lables of anything you are using for Silicones, those usually build up over time making me limp and lifeless.

I use a cheap clarifing shampoo, but not sure if i should dilute it like i do my other shampoo's or just use it straight. I have been wondering about those product that boost hair at the roots.

I use Redken Cleansing Cream which is a clarifying shampoo once a fortnight. I also wash and dry my hair flipped over my head. I fing that that gives me precious precious volume at the roots. Dry shampoo on the second day to avoid washing, also helps.

This could be incorrent, but I was once told to be very wary of products that promise volume with a matte texture, that what they do it open up the cuticle of your hair and can cause damage. Aveda I know makes one. I don't know the chemical to look out for. anyone have more info?

many people think shea butter works like mousse in their hair. You can try it.

I find using HALO Rinse (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showpost.php?p=3492&postcount=5) gives my hair a bit of extra volume. I also recommend cassia treatments. Cassia adds a bit of weight to the hair and it also conditions and gives shine.

My hair hasnt been limp since I started using more gentle Sulfate free products.
I started off with Logona - Beer & Honey (still love it ♥) and now even use Earthly Delight that has a lot more oils in it and its fine even 1 day after wash day.
A rinse with beer also gives my hair a nice fluffy texture.
If I need to clarify baking soda does a great job :)

It could be over-conditioned too. You might try doing a nice protein treatment. Also I would make sure the conditioner is getting rinsed out very well and perhaps try an ACV rinse. I also second the buildup possibility or cones weighing down the hair.
