Simply out of curiosity, I measured the circumference of my fringe/bangs. It came out to 1.5 in. I was pretty surprised because I had never considered my bangs to be really thick or heavy. I then questioned how I would add this to my total thickness.
Would I just add the two circumferences for a grand total?
It's been bothering me for a couple of hours :p

Find a circumference / area calculator ... here's one
http://math.about.com/library/blcirclecalculator.htm

First measure the circumference of your bang ponytail and your regular ponytail.

Use the calculator to find the AREA of each ponytail.

Add the two areas together - this is the area your ponytail would be if it were one ponytail with all hair in it.

Then use the calculator to calculate the circumference of the "combined" ponytail, based on the area.
