Being a Science teacher, I found this video interesting.
Never thought about sound waves being able to do this to hair :cool:

Yeah, lol the decibels at that level can cause deafness. Do not try that at home in a closed vehicle.

ETA: 2 I do not really think it is funny to have done that, and I hope the little girl is ok. It may have been done in ignorance but it was still negligent. ETA: 3 in my opinion.

I didn't think it was funny either, although I did find it interesting.

I agree about hearing loss. I warn students all the time about decibels (I have a decibel meter.) I also warn them against other forms of energy they have access too (ie: high intensity light from a laser).

The video is real. You can find many other videos showing the same thing.

We're going to have many more old people some day with great hearing loss :(
