Official Bad Hair Day thread?

So, I'm having a bad hair day today... I was looking around to see if there was an official "Bad Hair Day" thread where I could complain about my hair, and I couldn't find one. So, I thought it might be fun to start one! :D

Whether you're growing out a pixie or can measure your hair in yards, everybody has these, right? The day when curls turn to frizz, or straight hair goes flat as a pancake? The day every braid comes out crooked and every bun unwinds itself? Or whatever craziness your hair gets up to! :p I thought it would be fun to have a thread to rant about our bad hair days, support our fellow sufferers, share anecdotes and pictures, et cetera. Plus, share advice how you wrangle your unruly hair on those bad days so the rest of us can try your methods!! Or any other comments you feel like sharing about the dreaded Bad Hair Day.

I'll go first: When my hair is behaving badly (like today!!) it goes completely flat, and no matter how I style it, some wayward strand is either pulling on my scalp or slipping out. Today I've had two failed English braids and a failed low ponytail. Now I'm sitting her with my hair down, considering my next move. Usually for me a clarifying wash is the best solutions (just have to "restart" my hair, I guess), but I don't have time, so maybe a French braid will work??? I'll give it a try... We'll see.

Moderator: I'm still quite new at this, so hopefully I got this in the right place. :o If this is the wrong place for this, or if I've missed the official thread, please feel free to delete and let me know. :)

I am the one with the curls to frizz thing! even with products and a good comb, i step outside and "poof" suddenly all my nice wurls decide to spin out of control! I feel my hair in very high humidty and find it pulled up on itself, as if it were teased, and i lose half the length. I go to pull the mess into a ponytail and i find i can't wrap it around a second time. I smooth my hair with my hands in vain, give up and don't look in a mirror all day. Oh yeah, then there's the 30 mins or so of detangleing to do once i'm home. Yes, i LOVE my hair!

Good thread idea! We should include pics of our bad hair days too. The odds are we'd all be wondering why the other person thinks their hair is having a bad day especially since we tend to be too hard on ourselves. :)

My bad hair days happen when my wurls go flat and poofy. Which is 50 percent of the time. Sometimes it's caused by having to go out in the wind before my hair fully dries.

My bad hair day today, is dry winter hair, that is frzzing before it's even completly dry. This is just after a deep condition.

On public transportation, I've often had people patting my hair, not in admiration, oh no, but to get it off them.

My hair has frizzed and tangled so badly that when I was walking past a row of blouses on hangers in a shop, my hair snatched a hanger off the row and took it with us.

I work in a courthouse where they have a family court.

When my hair goes bad, I fear for the children.

I love this! that is soo funny! I fear for the children too when my hair is being bad, becuse sometimes, in high humidity, i look like that scary monster you find under your bed!

I once a week wait three days rather than two days as the time between my CO washes. My hair is so oily on that third day that nothing I do helps my hair lay right. On a normal week that is every Tuesday. It just wants to simply collapse usually right into my eyes. I am talking about hair tips stabbing the eyeball. Hair just laying across the eye doesn't bother me. I will be glad when these bangs are totally grown out.

The last time I loved my hair was in high school, long, beautiful, and did what I wanted every day.
Then I cut it.
I have had so many bad haircuts.

and it tames it a bit~

gircat36 - your curls are so pretty! :) Trying to get any type of curl in my hair is a serious uphill battle...

LindainCO, I like your messy bun! It's cute :) This was a favorite style of mine until my hair got too long for it.
Your hair is the exact color I hope to get mine to someday...
