And so my shedding continues, i've had an illness and i'm still recovering so it's going to take a long time for it to stop. What supplements do you recommend for hair shedding + growth? (It seems to grow slower now) I'm on omega 3 + vitamin D atm. Been taking them for 2 weeks now, so it's going to also take a while to notice any difference.

Take a multivitamin. You can try taking individual supplements, but you'll never know exactly what you are deficient in without a full blood work scan.

Any multivitamin should do. There are also special hair and nail formula multivitamins, like Deva brand makes one.

I prefer to get my vitamins and minerals in the form of a meal replacement shake (http://myvega.com/products/whole-food-health-optimizer/features-benefits)... the one I use has 100% RDA of ALL vitamins and minerals which is something a single pill can't do. Just because of volume it's impossible to fit 100% RDA of all vitamins and minerals into a single pill... so most multivitamins will give you 10-15% RDA of calcium, magnesium, biotin, etc instead of 100%.

I take 20mg of zinc. Make sure you are getting enough copper, magnesium, manganese, and iron. Amino acids and folic acid is also recommended. Vitamin C to help your body absorb the iron. A scalp tonic may do a lot. Rosemary stimulates the follicles and many others can contribute to growth as well. Ill look at my list later and make another post or you can google it.

Swanson Vitamins has a nice one for $5.59. It contains:
MSM 700mg
Horsetail Extract 250 mg
L-Cysteine 100 mg
Choline 50 mg
Inositol 25 mg
PABA 25 mg

I'm sort of obsessed with swanson vitamins.

I take Nioxin hair supplements for hair/skin/nails- works wonders, and I usually hate hair/skin/nails vitaminds because ive never noticed change. It says take 1 a day, but I take 2.

I take pillfood supplements, and some vegetarian omega 3. I believe it does work for me, my nails grow faster and harder, and my hair grows a tiny bit faster as well, but I still have a verrrrry slow growing rate.

Before Pilfood I took Priorin, and I think I liked that one a bit better.
