this is my first attempt:

i think I'm getting better at this. :) Pardon the clips, my fringe (bangs) aren't quite long enough to stay back.

I definitely think you're improving :) Practise makes perfect, as they say. Myself, I simply couldn't do it, no matter how many times I tried... then all of a sudden I could. The first ones were a bit (okay, VERY) not-straight but then after that it was okay. I'm weird like that :D

i find that, the bigger sections i take, the better it works for me. since i have fine (thinner) hair. otherwise it wouldn't work with me hardly:)

P.S. - the braid appears to be projected upward, which would make it a dutch braid I think.
