How did you do it? Did you just let it grow and do nothing, did you get trims and haircuts, or what. So far I haven't cut mine and have started curling it to get a style that doesn't look like it is a wind blown mess.

Hi! I am growing out from bald, 14 months growth in the picture. No to trims, I am just going to let it grow to my butt. The chemo did not affect it as much as I was led to expect so my hair is pretty much the same color and texture. A year's growth enabled me to get much of it up into a claw clip, now at 14 months I can make a french twist or use my new spin pins for a tiny bun. I do style if I am going somewhere but am fortunate that my work does not require my hair to look decent, I wear it under a hairnet. I always was able to "set" my hair but putting it up.

I remember you posting a photo with a wig, was that you or is my memory fading? How long is your hair now? I am assuming the hair loss was chemo related, as mine was. And I see we are the same age!

Me! Mine was PPD damage and took a year to start to come back, then another year to be growable. Due to other issues, my hair is easily damaged plus cat fine. I have to trim, which means I am at collarbone. I get 2-3 inches a year to keep

(It seems so long ago that I was almost at classic! Classic to knee took what seemed like forevvver!)

Well, I had LOTS of haircuts along the way. I had it in a pixie, then slowly grew it out into a layered bob that i kept it at for ages until I decided to let it grow again. My last major chop (some time in February maybe?) was off the front to help even out the layers because the layers in front were sooooo much longer than those in the back since I had it cut so I could spike the back and have long hair in the front. I liked it, but now I'm at shoulder (finally!), and am going to enjoy my journey to APL and every step thereafter. I still have a ton of layers, but my plan is to grow to 2 inches past APL, chop those off, grow to 2 inches past BSL, chop, and repeat until I reach either hip or TBL, with regular S&D. With that plan I should have all my layers gone by waist (the ones from hair cuts anyway, still waiting for all the growth on the top of my head to fill in.)

I definitely had a lot of trims along the way when I was growing out my hair. Mainly I would trim the hair along my neck, because it would grow out and I wanted to keep it from looking like a mullet. I waited until the hair at the top of my head grew out long enough and then I didn't have to trim as much.

Wowwww I can't believe your hair grew that much in just a little more than a year. That's incredible! It would take my hair something like 2 years or longer to get to that length from bald.

Chemo really changed my hair! I was blondish when I started chemo:

And ended up with salt and pepper hair (this is my hair up to date):

My hair did grow in fast! I am using Nioxin, Verseo, biotin, and regular vitamins and my hair has gone crazy! It feels thin right now but it is at least getting longer. I'm still debating if I should at least get the tips trimmed or what, maybe that ould help it feel thicker...

And yes you saw me in a few wigs:
