Hi all

I've just had a set of extensions fitted after a lot of research and thinking.

However, along with looking after them the best I can to keep my hair in good condition, I want to be able to put them up in some nice up do's.

However, because of the length of my natural hair, the only up do's I can manage are ones that are at the nape of the neck.

The hair is just about APL and quite layered. I don't want to use heat or anything, oh and I have a full fringe (I didn't choose it, it chose me :( )

Thanks
Jo

The only one might fill the bill is the Gibson Tuck:

I'm kinda confused, however. Are you trying to style the extensions along with your natural hair? If so, how long are the extensions?

Thanks! I'll have a look.
My natural hair is just past the ear. The extensions are just above APL. What it means is that I have to style it all in together and in order to do so I have to put it up in a way that gets all the little hairs (my own) at the base of my head in with it, too.
Did that make sense?!

Ohh! I didn't make it that obvious that they're in my hair kinda permanently so I can't style them off m y head..

Having never used extensions I'm not sure this would work but if the extensions are long enough to braid, could you braid and coil the braid in a bun, then just tuck the short bits under the bun?

Yes they're long enough to braid, I braid them in two sections for the night time when I'm in bed. I'll give it a go later tonight, thank you!

Thanks, I had a watch but they're not really what I'm after. The extensions I have aren't clip in and the real hair is literally only 3 inches long at the back so can only just squeeze into a pony! I'll have a play sometime when I'm free and see what I can do, some of them did look almost doable!

How about a french twist? I always think those look best on mid-length hair.
