I have an issue with my hair separating in sections at the bottom of my hair- from my neck down. My hair is about 2 inches below my shoulders. What can I do to solve this? I use Pantene for medium to thick hair- Shampoo and Conditioner.

It might be just the way your hair is... The way it grows, in which case there is nothing you can do about it. Do you have a pic?

I think it would be odd if your hair didn't do that.

I think I know what you're talking about... my hair does the same thing.
Does it separate into clumps that have kind of pointy ends? I finally figured out it must be some sort of vague wave pattern. I haven't really found a solution, instead I just go with it and usually end up styling my hair in cinnamon bun curls.

Yep, that's the same thing I have an issue with... what do you have yourself typed as (1a, 1b, etc)? I'm pretty sure your hair is trying to form waves. The way I deal with it, is to give myself bun or braid waves. That way, at least it looks like it was supposed to do that, haha.
You might want to consider a change in styling routine, maybe start treating your hair like wavy hair? Ie, scrunching, only use a wide tooth comb, etc.

I've tried every solution under the sun; flat ironing a long time ago, different drying techniques to get it straighter, trimming... nothing seems to deter those waveless waves.

I see it now, but yeah, your ends do look normal to me. Just forming some light waves maybe, but nonetheless they look fine. I have major separation when my hair gets too wavy or if I put too much oil or just plop it wrong. O_o I blame the wurls, lol.

Ahhh got it! Thanks! :)

I looked at the pics, and IMO say hello to waves. My hair looked just like that when I was growing it out. :) The longer your hair gets the more obvious the waves will appear.
