Gorgeous braided hairstyle.. but how to do it?

Does anybody know how you would do this, what sort of braid it is, or how I could figure it out? I would like to try and wear my hair like this some time :)

I'm sorry to say that I don't have much knowledge of braiding, so someone more experienced will certainly chime in, but let me say that, that is an amazing hairstyle. Absolutely gorgeous!

Okay, I was thinking the main braid was some sort of 6 strand or something. That was the only thing I had to figure out.. but I guess it is just sewn together then?

I think the bottom part may be a 7-strand.
